WHO WE ARE
The mission of Citylight West Council Bluffs is to multiply disciples and churches. Our city is one in great need of the good news of the Gospel! Therefore we pray daily what Jesus tells us in Luke 10:02 - pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest. Are you called to be one of the laborers? If so we might have a position for you to serve in! However, before you proceed take an honest evaluation if you exhibit the characteristics below:
Christ-Like Character
The most important qualification for employment at Citylight is character. Staff positions will function in the church body as deacons or elders and should be displaying the requisite character for your role. (See 1 Tim 3). As leaders in the church our staff should be displaying the fruits of the spirit in all circumstances.
Calling
We are not looking for people who just want a job. We’re looking for individuals who have a calling and desire to leverage their life for the advancement of the Gospel. We want a staff that is passionate about Jesus, the local church, and the people of West Council Bluffss.
Competencies
Our staff stands on the frontlines of Gospel ministry. We desire employees who are gifted in and passionate about their role. We hope that all employees will communicate, teach, and lead well; while developing future leaders within the church and be the resident expert in their role.
Culture
Staff members of Citylight West Council Bluffs are expected to live in community with the Church body at large. We are brothers and sisters in Christ who do not lord power over, but serve the body in whatever role we are given. PAID STAFF POSITIONS:
FAMILY AND STUDENT PASTOR
Full-time
The mission of the Citylight West Council Bluffs Students is to know Jesus, grow in a personal relationship with Him, and go on mission for the kingdom of God. This position is responsible for coordinating different aspects of the CLWCBS ministry including volunteers, meals, prep for weekly programming, discipleship of students, parent relationships, and other tasks. Provides additional oversight to the Citylight Kids Ministry.
